Common Questions

What Is ADHD Life Coaching?

ADHD Life Coaching is like life coaching but with an understanding of how the ADHD brain works.

ADHD Life Coaching is about helping you make life feel a little easier and more doable, in a way that actually fits your brain.

It’s not about “fixing” you. It’s about understanding how your ADHD shows up day to day and finding practical ways to work with it instead of against it.

We’ll look at what’s getting in your way and create simple, realistic strategies that fit you, your pace, your strengths, and the way your brain works best.

Together, we’ll work on things like focus, follow-through, getting organized, and feeling more in control, one step at a time.

Do I Need a Diagnosis?

No, you don’t need to have an ADHD diagnosis. Here are some reasons people choose to work with me:

They suspect they have ADHD or have been told by someone they trust that they might have it.

They’ve tried different ways to manage ADHD on their own but haven’t had long-term success and feel stuck.

They're going through a tough time, feeling overwhelmed, and are tired of repeating the same patterns.

They're ready for a change to improve their outlook and take steps towards a better future.

They’ve recently been diagnosed with ADHD and need some guidance on what to do next.

They have some diagnosis, whether it’s ADHD or something else, and are seeking support.

They’ve done their own research and feel they might have ADHD, or they’ve seen someone they love go through the diagnosis process.

They’re doing well managing their ADHD but want to use coaching to take things to the next level.

How Long Does Coaching Take?

There’s no one “right” timeline for coaching. It really depends on what you want help with and how much support feels right for you.

Here are the ways we can work together:

4-Week Option
A good place to start if you want help with one specific challenge or need a short reset to get unstuck.

12-Week Option
Helpful if you want time to sort things out, build some consistency, and try new ways of doing things without rushing.

6-Month Option
Best if you’re looking for steady support over time — especially if you’ve tried shorter fixes before and want changes that feel more settled.

On-Demand Coaching
One-time sessions for those moments when something comes up and you just need support right now, without committing to a longer package.

Most of my clients work with me for 3–6 months. That usually gives us enough time to understand what’s been getting in the way, try things out in real life, and adjust until things feel more manageable.

That said, there’s no pressure to follow a set path. We’ll start with a conversation, talk through what you’re dealing with, and choose an option that fits where you are right now.

The goal isn’t to stay in coaching forever, it’s to help you feel more confident, capable, and able to support yourself over time.

How Can I Start?

Getting started is simple and low-pressure.

We begin with a free 15-minute consultation call. This is a chance for us to meet, talk through what’s been going on for you, and see if working together feels like a good fit. You’re welcome to ask questions, there’s no expectation to decide anything on the call.

If it feels right to move forward, the next step is a 60–90 minute Strategy & Planning Session. This is where we slow things down, get clear on what you want help with, and create a plan that makes sense for your life and how your brain works.

After that, if you’d like ongoing support, we’ll talk through the coaching options, pricing, and next steps — and only move forward if it feels right to you.

What's The Difference Between Therapy and Coaching?

Both therapy and coaching are valuable, they just support people in different ways.

Therapy often focuses on understanding and healing the past. Therapists help people work through emotions, mental health concerns, and experiences that still feel heavy or unresolved. If you’re dealing with trauma, deep emotional distress, or clinical mental health concerns, therapy is the right place to start.

Coaching is more present and future-focused. Coaching is about how your ADHD shows up in daily life right now, things like starting tasks, staying organized, following through, and building routines that work for your brain. A coach helps you turn insight into action and supports you as you try things out in real life.

Many people work with both a therapist and a coach at the same time. Therapy helps you process and heal; coaching helps you apply what you know and move forward with support.

If you’re not sure which is right for you, we can talk it through during a consultation and figure out what makes the most sense for where you are.

What Does a Coaching Session Look Like?

Each session is a conversation focused on what’s going on for you right now.

We’ll talk through what’s been hard, what you want help with, and what feels most important to focus on that day. Some sessions are about sorting things out or making a plan. Others are about trying something new, seeing how it goes, and adjusting from there.

You won’t leave with a long to-do list. We’ll usually choose one small, realistic next step that feels doable before the next session.

There’s no script and no pressure to show up prepared. Coaching is flexible and practical, the goal is to leave feeling clearer and more supported, not overwhelmed.

How Does Payment Work?

Payment is handled online and is simple and secure.

You’ll see the full investment clearly before you book, no surprises and no hidden fees.

Coaching sessions and packages are paid for in advance. If you’re considering a longer-term package, we’ll walk through the options during your consultation so you can choose what feels right for you.

If you have questions at any point, just reach out. I’m happy to help.

Ready to take the first step?

You can start from exactly where you are right now. The first step is simply having the courage to reach out. It all begins with one conversation.
